This Privacy Policy applies to Claremont Technology (“Lucid”) and its affiliates (collectively referred to as “Claremont Technology”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). It sets forth the details of how we collect, manage, and use Personal Information, including, but not limited to, Personal Information collected through our websites, mobile applications, email, cloud services, or widgets integrated into communication platforms that contain a link to this policy (the “Websites”).
“Personal Information” shall mean information associated with a specific individual that can be used to reasonably identify such individual. Personal Information does not include anonymized information that does not reasonably allow for the identification of a specific person. This Policy covers our practices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of such Personal Information effective from the date of its publication.
If we collect personal data from you in your capacity as a beneficial owner, director, employee, or trustee of a merchant, please refer to our Merchant Agreement.
Claremont Technology (Lucid) is committed to respecting the privacy of your Personal Information. We acknowledge the concerns of individuals regarding the security of their Personal Information and are committed to safeguarding any Personal Information within our possession or under our control.
Claremont Technology (Lucid) retailers (which may include e-marketplaces) and its business partners (collectively referred to as “Our Partners”) are independent entities from Claremont Technology. Their respective privacy policies may differ from ours, and Our Partners shall maintain sole responsibility for their own privacy policies and practices. We advise you to contact Our Partners directly for further information regarding their privacy policies.
The Websites may also contain links to third-party websites. Such linked sites are not under our control, and we assume no responsibility for their content; furthermore, they are not governed by this Privacy Policy. Prior to disclosing your Personal Information on any third-party website, we recommend that you review the terms, conditions, and privacy policy of that specific site.
This Privacy Policy applies upon registration for, access to, or use of our services, features, technologies, or functionalities offered on our Websites (collectively referred to as “Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services”), and in relation to Personal Information collected during the course of our business as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Claremont Technology (Lucid) reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. The updated version will be accessible via the “Privacy” link on the Websites. The amended version shall be effective as of the date of its publication on the Websites. Claremont Technology may highlight any material changes to this Privacy Policy that may affect you by notifying you via email or other contact methods registered with us.

1. Collection of Personal Information

 

Upon registration and electronic signature, Claremont Technology (Lucid) endeavors to maintain fairness and transparency regarding the methods of data collection and the intended purposes for which such information is processed.
We receive and store specific categories of information during your interaction with our Websites to provide the products requested and to enhance your overall online experience. For instance, consistent with standard web practices, we utilize “cookies” and other local storage technologies on users’ devices to obtain certain data when a web browser, mobile device, or any other access medium interfaces with our Website.
The information transmitted to us may include data regarding accessed pages, computer IP addresses, device identifiers, operating system types, geographical location, mobile network information, standard web log data, and other related metrics. Web log data encompasses browser types and traffic volume to and from our site. Furthermore, upon visiting our Websites or utilizing Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services, we may collect data pertaining to your transactions and activities. Detailed disclosures regarding the collection of Personal Information via cookies and analytical services are set forth below.
In addition, should you establish a Claremont Technology account or utilize Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact Information: including your name, address, telephone number, email address, location, and other similar identifiers.
  • Financial Information: details of credit or debit cards linked to your Claremont Technology (Lucid) account or provided to us during the utilization of Claremont Technology Services.
  • Personal Identifiers: including your date of birth, National ID number, or other official identification information or documentation.

 

Permissions and Authorizations
Explicit Consent and Authorization for Personal Data Access
By clicking the “I Agree” button, the User hereby acknowledges and grants their explicit, final, and irrevocable consent to Claremont Technology (Lucid) (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) the following rights and authorities:
First: Authorization for Data Access & Scoring
The User grants the Company full technical and legal authorization to access and perform automated processing of data stored on their smartphone. This authorization shall be exclusively limited to the following:

  • Short Message Service (SMS): Automated access and digital reading of financial and banking transaction messages, electronic wallets, and utility or service bills. This is for the sole purpose of establishing an “Alternative Credit Scoring” profile and determining the maximum installment ceiling.
  • Gallery & Camera: Authorization to capture images of personal identification documents and biometric verification photos (“Selfies”), as well as access to the gallery for uploading the requisite documentation to finalize the contract and ensure Anti-Impersonation protection.
  • Geographic Location (GPS): Tracking the User’s location during application usage or transaction execution to verify presence within the authorized geographical territory and for digital Anti-Fraud purposes.

The Company may further obtain your explicit written consent to collect financial information specifically for the benefit of Claremont Technology (Lucid

 

Information from Third-Party Sources and External Entities
We may obtain information pertaining to you from third parties, including our partners and affiliates, as well as credit reporting agencies and identity verification services. Furthermore, we may access publicly or commercially available sources for the purpose of compliance with relevant legislation, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
You may elect to grant us access to certain Personal Information stored by third-party entities, such as social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). The scope of information we receive varies by platform and remains under the control of the respective third-party service. By linking your Claremont Technology (Lucid) account to an account managed by a third party and authorizing our access to such data, you hereby consent to the collection, storage, and utilization of this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may further collect your Personal Information if you participate in a contest or promotional offer administered by us (whether directly or through our marketing agents or partners), or if you submit an employment application to us, either directly or via a recruitment agency.
We may collect Personal Information concerning the employees of our partners, obtained either directly from them or through our partners. Such information may include names, job titles, contact details, and training records. Similarly, we may collect Personal Information of our suppliers’ and service providers’ employees during the ordinary course of our business activities, including names, contact details, and designations. This information will be collected directly from the individual or from the respective supplier or service provider.
To safeguard you against fraud and the misuse of Personal Information, we may collect data regarding your usage and interaction with our Websites or Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services. For instance, we may evaluate your computer, mobile device, or other access terminal to identify any malicious software (malware) or suspicious activities.
We may also collect supplemental information from or about you through other channels, such as communications with our customer support team, suppliers, or service providers—whether via postal mail, email, or telephonic inquiries—as well as from your survey responses, interactions with Claremont Technology partners, or as otherwise notified to you at the time of collection.

2. Use of Personal Information

Claremont Technology (Lucid) shall only collect, retain, and process information pertaining to you that is necessary for the performance of the services you request, or that is reasonably essential for our business operations, or as otherwise mandated by law.
We may utilize the Personal Information collected about you for various purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Service Provision & Eligibility: Providing Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services or evaluating eligibility for the provision thereof.
  • Customer Support: Delivering technical and administrative assistance.
  • Transaction Processing: Facilitating transactions and issuing relevant notifications.
  • Dispute Resolution & Collection: Resolving disputes, collecting fees, and rectifying technical or administrative issues.
  • Preventative Compliance: Investigating and preventing potentially prohibited or illegal activities.
  • Contractual Enforcement: Enforcing our User Agreement and terms of service.
  • Market Research & Quality Assurance: Assessing your level of satisfaction and expectations regarding us and Our Partners, and optimizing our delivery (e.g., regarding services and goods provided by Claremont Technology (Lucid) retailers).
  • Service Optimization: Customizing, measuring, and improving our services, as well as the content, design, and operational efficiency of our Websites.
  • Targeted Marketing: Delivering targeted marketing services, service updates, and promotional offers in accordance with your communication preferences.
  • Multi-Channel Communication: Communicating via telephone, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications, or email, including as authorized under our User Agreement.
  • Credit Decisioning & Risk Assessment: Making credit decisions, assessing risks, and preventing fraud utilizing device data (SMS, contacts, installed applications), survey responses, and third-party credit bureau data.
  • Verification: Comparing and verifying information for accuracy through third-party sources.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Confirming identity for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) purposes, and assessing applications and suitability for our services.
  • Recruitment: Considering employment applications submitted for positions within Claremont Technology.
  • Procurement: Obtaining goods or services from you or your employer.
  • Data Analytics: Conducting data analytics to enhance our services and those of Our Partners.
  • Consent-Based Purposes: For any other purposes to which you have consented, as set forth in the Terms and Conditions.
  • Statutory Compliance: As required or permitted under the laws and regulations within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

You hereby agree that we may utilize your Personal Information for the purposes for which it was collected and for related purposes that you would reasonably expect. Should all or part of your Personal Information not be collected or be unverifiable, we may be unable to provide you with Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services, offer a customized experience, communicate with you, or conduct business with you.

3. SMS Terms and Conditions

By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive text messages from Claremont Technology, including service notifications and verification codes. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. We do not sell your data. Telecommunications carriers shall not be held liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

We may share your Personal Information with:

  • Affiliates: Our subsidiaries and related corporate entities.
  • Service Providers: Our partners, suppliers, and service providers who assist in our business operations, including fraud prevention, identity verification, payment collection, marketing, customer service, and technical services.
  • Retailers: Our authorized retailers, to enable them to provide goods or services, respond to complaints, or assist in enhancing the quality and standard of service provided to you.
  • Financial Institutions: Financial institutions with which we may collaborate to jointly create and offer products.
  • Credit Bureaus and Collection Agencies: Credit reporting bodies and debt collection agencies, including account information reporting as permitted by law. When we share your Personal Information with credit reporting bodies, we authorize them to use such information for the purpose of providing their respective credit reporting services. To request a credit report, we shall provide identifying information to the credit reporting body.
  • Banking Partners: As required by credit card association rules for inclusion in terminated merchant lists.
  • Corporate Transactions: Entities with which we plan to merge, or which may acquire us, or potential investors.
  • Legal and Regulatory Authorities: Law enforcement, government agencies, officials, or other third parties pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or any other legal process or requirement applicable to Claremont Technology (Lucid); when necessary to comply with the law or credit card schemes; or when we believe, at our sole discretion, that disclosure is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, report suspected illegal activity, or investigate suspected violations of our User Agreement.
  • Professional References: References nominated by you in the event of an employment application with Claremont Technology.
  • Consensual Third Parties: Other third parties with your express consent or at your direction.

4.1 Designated Third-Party Data Processors

The following third-party data processors process your Personal Information on our behalf:

  • Geidia: Payment gateway provider; receives payment card details, e-wallet information, and transaction data to process installment payments. (Based in Egypt).
  • Samsung Knox Guard: Device management technology provider (applicable to Lucid Phone plan only); receives device identifiers for the purpose of activating and managing device security features. (Based in South Korea).
  • I-Score (The Egyptian Credit Bureau): Credit reporting body; receives personal identification data, payment history, delinquency status, and account information. We provide data to I-Score and obtain credit reports therefrom. Adverse reporting (e.g., payment delays) may impact your ability to obtain credit from any financial institution in Egypt. (Based in Egypt).
  • Payment Application Providers: Including but not limited to InstaPay, MyFawry, and Flash App; third-party payment applications through which installments may be settled. Upon utilizing these services, your phone number and payment amount are shared with the respective provider.
  • Cash Payment Networks: Fawry, Al Ahly Momken, and Geidia POS terminals; physical collection points for cash installment payments. Your phone number and payment reference are shared with these providers.


Each of these providers is contractually obligated to process your data solely for the purposes set forth above and in accordance with appropriate data protection standards.

4.2 Cross-Border Data Transfer

Some of our data processors are located outside of Egypt, specifically:

  • Samsung (South Korea): Receives device identifiers for the Knox Guard service.
  • Google (USA): Receives website analytics data.


Such transfers are conducted in compliance with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. We ensure that appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), are in place to protect your Personal Information when transferred outside Egypt.
Please be advised that these third parties may be located in jurisdictions where data processing laws may be more or less stringent than those in your country. Upon disclosing your Personal Information abroad, we shall take all reasonable measures to ensure that your data is stored, managed, and accessed in accordance with appropriate standards for handling Personal Information.
Furthermore, please note that retailers from whom you purchase goods or services—even if such purchases are financed via Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services—maintain their own privacy policies. Claremont Technology assumes no liability for their acts or omissions, including their data protection practices.
We shall not disclose your Personal Information to third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy, as notified at the time of collection, or with your express consent.
If you establish a Claremont Technology (Lucid) account directly through a third-party website or application, any information entered therein (and not directly on Claremont Technology (Lucid) websites) will be shared with the owner of said third-party platform. Such platforms are governed by their own privacy policies; we recommend reviewing them prior to providing any Personal Information. Claremont Technology assumes no responsibility for the content or information practices of such third parties.
Claremont Technology (Lucid) may share your interaction (click) on an advertising retailer’s link from our Website or Application with our Affiliate Marketing Network partners. We utilize a unique Claremont Technology link for this purpose and shall not disclose any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) during such process. Our Affiliate Marketing Network partners may track your path through the retailer’s website, including associating our link with you for the calculation of potential commissions for Claremont Technology. Our Affiliate Marketing Network partners process your Personal Information in accordance with their respective privacy policies published on their websites.

5. Consent

We may seek your consent to use and/or disclose your Personal Information should we require its utilization for purposes unrelated to the original purpose of collection.
If you do not consent to the collection, use, and/or disclosure of your Personal Information by Claremont Technology (Lucid) for other purposes, such refusal may adversely impact Claremont Technology’s ability to provide or enhance our products and services, or to engage in business transactions with you.
By providing your name, date of birth, and residential address to establish your profile with us, you hereby grant your express consent to the disclosure of such information to governmental authorities and credit reporting bodies. You further authorize us to request a verification assessment against the personal records maintained by such entities to facilitate identity verification pursuant to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws. Such entities may provide us with the result of this assessment and utilize your Personal Information—alongside the names, addresses, and dates of birth of other individuals—to generate said assessment.
In the event that your identity cannot be verified through the aforementioned method, we shall notify you via the secure Claremont Technology (Lucid) service or through other communication channels.
If you elect not to proceed with this method of identity verification, you must contact us as specified below.

6. Marketing and Privacy

Claremont Technology (Lucid) may, from time to time, disseminate marketing materials to individuals who have provided their Personal Information, pertaining to products and services offered by Claremont Technology and its partners. We may utilize your Personal Information to derive inferences and present more relevant content, such as your preferred retailers, purchasing habits, and spending patterns.
If you have opted-in to receive Push Notifications, including in-store marketing alerts, we will transmit recommendations we believe may be of interest to you, incorporating information based on your location and purchase history. You may opt-out of receiving marketing push notifications—including location-based alerts—at any time by updating your account settings. Even if you opt-out specifically from push notifications, we may continue to collect and process your location data for other designated purposes.
Note: Notwithstanding your opting-out of marketing push notifications, you will continue to receive Transactional Push Notifications regarding payment reminders, delinquency alerts, order status updates, and other communications vital to the service. These notifications cannot be disabled through marketing preferences but may be managed via your device’s notification settings.
If you have subscribed to receive marketing communications via email, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the footer of the email. You may also opt-out and update your email marketing preferences at any time through your profile settings within the Application.
Upon electing to opt-out or updating your marketing preferences, we shall require a reasonable period to process such updates. Unless otherwise mandated by law, it may take up to seven (7) days to process opt-out requests related to electronic marketing materials (such as emails and SMS) and up to thirty (30) days for all other marketing-related requests.
Even following your opt-out from marketing communications, we may continue to contact you for transactional or informational purposes. This includes, without limitation, customer service issues, returns or product inquiries, late payment inquiries, surveys, product recalls, or any queries pertaining to a specific order.

7. Control of Tracking Tools and Do-Not-Track Disclosures

Your web browser may provide tools to control cookies; the methods for doing so vary depending on the browser and the specific type of cookie. We utilize Cookies to identify visited webpages and the frequency of such visits, in order to render our Websites more user-friendly, provide a superior experience upon your return to a website, and target advertisements that we believe may be of interest to you. For instance, Cookies allow us to retain your password so that you are not required to re-enter it during every visit to our site.
Most internet browsers automatically accept Cookies. You can find information specific to your browser in the “Help” menu. You are free to decline our Cookies if your browser or its add-ons permit, unless our Cookies are strictly necessary for fraud prevention or to ensure the security of the Websites under our control. Nevertheless, declining our Cookies may adversely affect your use of our Websites and Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services.

9. Management of Online Interest-Based Advertising

We may periodically collaborate with online advertising service providers to deliver relevant and useful advertisements. This may include advertisements displayed on or through our Websites, or on the websites of third-party entities. These advertisements may be predicated on information collected by us or by third parties; for instance, your postal code may be utilized to target advertisements to individuals within your geographic vicinity. Furthermore, such advertisements may be based on your activities on our Websites or other external websites.
Our Websites may also utilize Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics employs Cookies to monitor and analyze traffic to and usage of our Websites. Information pertaining to your use of our Websites generated by these Cookies is typically transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. Google utilizes this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our Websites, compile reports on Website activity, and provide additional related services.
We shall not disclose your identity to Google, nor shall we consolidate Personal Information with non-personal information collected through this service. You may prevent the use of Google Analytics Cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that in such an event, you may be unable to fully utilize the total functionality of our Websites. In addition to Google Analytics, we may employ other third-party analytical tools to monitor, analyze, and collect information regarding your interaction with our Websites.

10.1 Data Retention

We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as mandated by applicable law. Specific retention periods include:

  • Know Your Customer (KYC) Documents: (National ID, Selfie, Digital Signature); retained for the duration of your account plus five (5) years post-account closure, pursuant to Egyptian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
  • Biometric Matching Data: Facial recognition results are retained for the duration of your account.
  • Device Data: (SMS, Contacts, Installed Applications); processed during the credit application and periodically throughout the account term. Extracted data points (not raw data) may be retained for up to twelve (12) months post-account closure for fraud prevention purposes.
  • Payment and Transaction History: Retained for the duration of your account plus five (5) years post-account closure.
  • Survey and Employment Data: Retained for the duration of your account plus two (2) years post-account closure.
  • Marketing Preferences: Retained until consent is withdrawn or the account is closed.


Upon the expiration of the applicable retention period, your Personal Information will be securely deleted or anonymized.

11. Children’s Personal Information

We do not knowingly solicit or collect Personal Information from any individual under the age of eighteen (18). Should Claremont Technology (Lucid) suspect that a user is under the age of 18, we shall require the user to close their account and prohibit further utilization of Claremont Technology (Lucid) Services.

12. Access to and Correction of Personal Information

We shall endeavor to ensure the accuracy of information pertaining to you during collection and utilization. Subject to the exceptions set forth in privacy laws, we shall permit you to access and correct the information we maintain about you if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. In the event that access is denied or correction is refused, we shall notify you of the underlying reasons.

If you wish to access and/or correct your Personal Information held by Claremont Technology, please contact us via email. Unless your request is denied, Claremont Technology will provide the information as soon as reasonably practicable following receipt of the request. If a correction is approved, changes will be implemented expeditiously. Should we refuse your request, we will state the grounds for refusal and record the request in your file. If you are dissatisfied with our refusal, you may lodge a complaint with the competent regulatory authority.

12.1 Data Protection Rights

Under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you are entitled to the following rights regarding your Personal Information:

  • Right of Access: The right to request a copy of the Personal Information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Rectification: The right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information.
  • Right to Data Portability: The right to request a copy of your Personal Information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is predicated on your consent, you may withdraw such consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted prior to said withdrawal. Please note that withdrawing consent for mandatory data processing (e.g., device permissions, biometric verification) may result in the inability to utilize Lucid services.
  • Right to Object: The right to object to the processing of your Personal Information for direct marketing purposes at any time.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: The right to file a complaint with the Egyptian Data Protection Center (the authority established under Law No. 151 of 2020) if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.


To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@riseco.ai. We shall respond to your request within thirty (30) days of receipt.
In accordance with the Claremont Technology (Lucid) User Agreement, you may also close your account via our Websites. Upon account closure, we may retain information from your account for a specified period to collect outstanding fees, resolve disputes, rectify issues, assist in investigations, prevent fraud or risk, enforce the User Agreement, or take any other actions mandated or permitted by law.

13. Resolving Your Concerns

Claremont Technology shall provide you with a written acknowledgment of receipt within seven (7) days of receiving your complaint. We will subsequently investigate the matter and notify you of the measures taken for resolution within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt.

14. Definitions

  • Affiliates: Entities related to one another through common ownership or control. These may include both financial and non-financial companies.
  • Non-Affiliates: Entities that do not share common ownership or control. These may include financial or non-financial companies. Non-affiliates with whom we share data include marketing firms, commercial partners, and other service providers.
  • Joint Marketing: A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Claremont Technology does not disclose information for joint marketing purposes.


In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between this Notice and the Claremont Technology Privacy Policy, this Notice shall prevail and take precedence regarding customers within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
